About Us

Okavango Camel Rides is a company owned by a Motswana Female Farmer.

The owner has a farm which was originally intended for     horticulture production but had to change scope after 3 failed attempts of drilling three boreholes which indicated very high saline water and the water could not be used for horticulture.

In order to continue her farming dream and to save her farm from being underutilized, considering its strategic location in Maun - the Tourism Hub of Botswana, and her love for the graceful animals, the Camel riding   concept was born.

OCR is therefore a company originating out of lifelong      passion and affection for Camels by the owner. The Company slogan “Where the Desert meets the Delta”, was inspired by having the presence of Camels in Maun which is considered the Gateway to the Okavango Delta, the idea is to experience rides with dessert animals and then proceed to see the big five in the delta

OCR  has identified a need to provide unique diversified   entertainment to both Recreating Domestic & International tourists through Camel rides.
